The City of Hanford was placed under a conservation order by the State of California to reduce its total potable water consumption by 28 percent. A campaign was needed to generate awareness and reinforce the need for water conservation.
Based on our research, we crafted the multi-language 60 Gallon Challenge campaign that included a website, collateral materials, and outreach, that was kicked off with a launch event to build community support.
The award winning campaign produced a 3.3% increase in cumulative water conservation, and the average of warnings issued decreased 45% during a three month period. The conservation order was lifted on the City of Hanford.
